Client Need

Our client needed to create a streamlined delivery model, including a cost estimating system, for highly regulated decommissioned guideline requirements to give them a competitive advantage. This strategy required a comprehensive web-based tool designed specifically for the oil and gas industry. The tool needed to automatically access detailed data to leverage trend analysis algorithms and create accurate and reliable decommissioned cost estimates.

Product Challenge

The biggest challenge in creating this software was making it easy-to-use. Other challenges included making the application web-based via multiple interfaces and accessible through multiple terminals. The application also needed to interface with regulatory, statutory, federal, and industry agencies and have the ability to data mine complex industry-specific resources.

The Xperity Solution

We created a proprietary, world-class enterprise solution, Platform Abandonment Estimating System (PAES), which interfaces with an industry-specific resource database for developing decommissioning cost estimates, and to provide unique trend analysis and insights for decommissioning projects. PAES also interfaces with agencies to deliver all requirements promptly on time.
